Americans are prude

A few weeks ago, I read a blog from a woman who worked in the adult industry for a good chunk of years. I think her current job was to make up non-offensive descriptions for sex toys, so she had the ability to think of several dozen terms for 'penis', as well as at least two dozen to describe a rimjob. I can't remember the URL or name of the blog, but in one of her posts she argued that contrary to popular belief, Americans are not prude. Coming from someone who works in the adult industry, I slightly doubt how objective that statement was. Maybe Americans are just publicly prude, and are really rampaging sex mongers in private.

Anyway, case in point:
Job #1 for America's Attorney General: porn, not terrorism

When FBI supervisors in Miami met with new interim U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta last month, they wondered what the top enforcement priority for Acosta and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales would be.

Would it be terrorism? Organized crime? Narcotics trafficking? Immigration? Or maybe public corruption?

The agents were stunned to learn that a top prosecutorial priority of Acosta and the Department of Justice was none of the above. Instead, Acosta told them, it's obscenity. Not pornography involving children, but pornographic material featuring consenting adults.

After you've picked yourself up from the floor, either from LMAO, shock or surprise (depending on your nationality), tell me Americans aren't prude. Well, if they aren't, the government sure is making up for anyone who isn't.

It's moronic for those who are repressed and inhibited to try to impose their unhealthy intolerant "morality" on others. The very people who most vociferously criticize people with a well adjusted view of sexuality themselves exhibit poorer morals. They are fighting against their own nature and trying to bring their war to the culture at large. Research indicates that fundamentalist Christians have the highest rate of divorce for instance: http://alphadominance.com/?p=416 Those who claim the highest morality are in fact the least moral among us. Atheists behave better than these imbeciles.
People are afraid of nudity and sexuality when they have guilt and shame issues over things which are a natural part of humanity. These individuals need therapy, not to have popular culture or legislators listen to their intolerance. Even in the context of marriage we are one of the least sexually satisfied cultures on earth: http://alphadominance.com/?p=510
What healthy well adjusted Americans need to do is to embrace their sexuality, maintain the emotionally healthy approach to life and rub the noses of the uptight party poopers in it until they loosen up. If it were up to me we'd adopt the European model of normative sexuality, nudity in commercials, topless beaches being the standard, women being able to breastfeed in public without persecution and a sex positive attitude with rational sexual education for our youth to replace the dysfunctional inanity of the "just say no" approach. It's shown that unwanted pregnancy and transmission of venereal disease declines with realistic sexual education, not with the abstinence only approach. Just look at Sarah Palin's daughter. Classic case of what teaching stupid fundamentalist values results in. Spare me.
